Update for Civil Society Organisations

Welcome to the Commonwealth Foundation’s update for Civil Society Organisations!

This is a pilot email, which I will be using for the next few weeks to keep you up to date with the Commonwealth Foundation and Commonwealth organisation activities. I am hoping to formalise this with a more professional (and colourful!) email in the coming months, perhaps linked with information for wider Commonwealth stakeholders, which will hopefully be circulated once a month.

In the meantime, please let me know if you have anything you would like me to circulate to other organisations. If you do not want to receive this email, please let me know.

Please note: This is information on external opportunities only. For further information, please click on the links below. Do not contact the Commonwealth Foundation of myself for queries on any of these issues, unless otherwise stated.

  • 2010 CAPAM Biennial Conference, Building a Common Future: Global Challenges, Local Responses

Malta, October 18, 2010

In partnership with the Government of Malta, CAPAM is pleased to announce the 2010 Biennial Conference, Building a Common Future: Global Challenges, Local Reponses, to be held October 18-20, 2010 in Malta.

We live in an interconnected world where social, political, economic and ecological changes are not restricted by national borders. In response to these global forces, Public Service reforms are also interconnected. While there are strong competitive forces between nations, there are also important reasons for collaboration, coordination and sharing. Our interconnected world has a significant impact, both positive and negative, on the discipline and practice of public administration at the local, national, regional, and international levels.
